The Women’s Development Center was established as a community hub for the women of Bamyan. The Japanese Embassy, in response to a request from the Islamic Government of Afghanistan, founded this center through the Japan Grassroots Grant Aid Project. With funding from JICA, the Humanitarian Social Partner Organization (HSPO) implemented a variety of activities aimed at empowering women and children in Bamyan.
